| Bio: | This is my journal that I will let everyone (friends, family, clergy etc) read while I spend four months at the NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth) EIE (Eisendrath International Exchange) High School on Kibbutz Tzuba, located in the Judean hills outside of Jerusalem. I will live in the hotel, sharing "dorm-like" accomodations with three suite-mates. I'm taking most of my regular home classes while in Israel, along with an intense Jewish history survey course and a hebrew program. We travel all over the country, including a hiking trip across it during passover, and "tiyulim" (trips) to the Dead Sea and into Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa, and other tourist sites. We will also take a week long "pilgrimmage" to Poland and Prague. I leave for Israel January 30, and return to my somewhat-less-exciting home in Saint Paul, Minnesota June 6. |
